Background information on AMRC TC
About the AMRC Training Centre
The University of Sheffield AMRC is a global centre of excellence for industry-focused manufacturing research and business development. We work with companies from around the world, and have brought in millions of pounds of investment to the Sheffield city region.
The AMRC Training Centre opened its doors for the first time in October 2013. Our brand new Training Centre is state-of-the-art and offers a variety of learning pathways for you to consider, from engineering to business administration.
Many employers have already signed up for their apprentices to learn at our centre, including Aesseal, Newburgh, Rolls-Royce and Tata Steel – over 40 companies at the last count. We also take on our own apprentices within the AMRC group, who work at the cutting edge of research and development for advanced manufacturing.
The AMRC Training Centre is led by a team of industrialists who have experienced the challenges of developing world-class talent, and learning specialists who understand the requirements of the manufacturing sector.

Model Release
This was a joint project between AMRC and UTC Sheffield, therefore they gave us permission to use anyone we wanted/needed to use from the AMRC to be in the video without requiring their permission as it had been already given by the training centre.

Certification and Distribution
Distribution
It will be distributed online, on youtube and on the website, also it may be played inside the building for the purpose of open days at the AMRC. Other than that it will not be distributed anywhere else.
Certification
As for the age certificate is not applicable, this is because there is absolutely nothing to do with drugs, violence, sex, and any other regulations for the Ofcom guidelines. This is a promotional video so it shouldn't have anything to do with them anyway as the engineering centre has none of that in it.
LO2: Copyright
All of the music that we used for the video was taken from creative commons and so there are no problems with copyright. Also all the footage we have used is from us and we did our self.

Analysing the Feedback from our rushes.
Judging from the feedback we got, we need to rethink the music choice, although that is not a main priority. We could shorten the intro as people feel that it is too long. Other than that the overall feedback is quite positive and we just need to keep working on it.

‘AMRC Training Centre’
THE BRIEF
We have been asked by
AMRC training center to make a promotional video about their center.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Our target audience for the
AMRC would be students who are looking at post 16 courses in engineering and
manufacturing. Also it would be for their parents as well to see what the
school is about.
SEGMENT SYNOPSIS AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE BRIEF
We Have been asked to
film parts of the AMRC to put into our promotional film for them, we also have
been asked to take interviews of key teachers in the school so it can all go in
the video which relates to the brief they gave us.

PROPS AND MODELS
AMRC Teachers and
apprentices, we will need some chairs for them to sit on.
HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS.
We need to make sure we are wearing health and safety goggles when
in the engineering sector of the AMRC. We need to not get in the way of the
students at work.
LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS.
We need to have no
students swearing or mis behaving, as this might offend some people or deter
others.
